I cast on this pair of socks June 1 and just realized that I forgot to post them here. The pattern is the June mystery sock from a group on Ravelry called solid socks. The yarn is, of course, Panda Silk :) this time I used # 3007. I am still working away at the 10 stitch blanket and have used just over 5 balls of yarn so far will post a progress photo of it soon.

Just want to share my joy
You simply must have a look at this. Look at the cover down on the right side and then click here.
Since I retired and kept up knitting again, I dreamed of this. Of course it was without and beyond any reality. But now I am sitting here, completely overwhelmed and with tears streaming. I know it is neither CPY nor KAL, but I just wanted to share because this bloody blog has brought me joy for over a year now and above that the stories from so many people from everywhere being kind to each other. Not so naturally understood these days.
All the best to all of you!

Anything goes...
This is my third pair in the 52 pair plunge. A pair of socks for my two year old son. He wanted red socks and as I showed him some yarn, he chose this lovely yarn, from Drops Fabel. 224 yards are used.

The finally socks are finally done.
And what a great feeling that is! I am happy with the final product. I wanted something a bit different and fun, and I think I finally (hence the name) stumbled upon what I was looking for.
Can I tell y'all what a dream that panda silk is to knit with. Wow!!!! I am in LOVE. As soon as my mom figures out what she's going to be doing....I'll have to place an order for her and knit her up a few pairs. What a dream. The best part is that I have a half a skein left over that I get to use for something else. :D.
Now, I suppose I should get going on my June project? Eh. I have 20 days left. No panic (yet) I thought I had published the start of these babies...but I can't find it. SO I readded it here. Sorry about that.

MY SOCKS!
Oh, I found them. The pair I want is a new zebra or tiger stripe sock. Oh please pray for me. First toe-up and different knitting technique! I saw bellybuttonknits on the site too. I may have to fly to Ca. for help! He,he. Loving Oregon just kidding.

And they are done...
I promised this pair to my daughter... they came ready yesterday evening. Unfortunately the weather here at the moment is sad... the socks are showing darker than they actually are.
I used Zauberball Stone Washed, 350 meter yarn went into this pair.

progress temporarily stopped on the Girasole
I started this in May and worked on it until acute asthma kicked in and I had to put it away until breathing is normal again. Just thought I'd post the pic of when I stopped a few weeks ago. This is a wonderful pattern to knit. No mistakes after I realized that markers every 16 stitches were a must for me. Tinking 640 sts a couple of times was a nightmare.
The yarn is from my friend's alpaca farm and is 8 ply 80% alpaca/20% Merino wool. I can hardly wait to get back to knitting this. It is much prettier in person. I think it would be gorgeous as a shawl in sock yarn, too.

Anything goes project
Luxor socks by knitspot for Fred in CPY bamboo wool in Neptune colorway. I was concerned that this was "limp" and looked gigantic, but Fred tried it on and it looked fabulous. I'm really happy to say he didn't take it off for a few hours. Next pic will show him wearing the finished pair by the end of the month.
First sock took 1 1/2 balls. The slight sheen in the yarn is perfect for this pattern which looks much better ON the leg than off. :)
Part of Fred's red, white and blue birthday presents I make each year. Red Menehune socks next up.

June 52 week KAL - Cathy
Only the toe
and then the first of this pair is done. I had to make up one pair for my DD, as the initial pair went overseas. The reason is something that I still have to keep secret, as it is still pending. Currently working on the second sock...
The second picture shows my piece that I knit on Lieke's scarf. We are over half way now with the traveling scarf project...
