July - 52 week challenge post
I have finished my main projects for July in the 52 week challenge:
My "WWKIP Day 2009" Socks:
Started: 6/13/09
Finished: 7/6/09
Yarn: Panda Cotton - Roses
Needles: 40" 3.0mm addi turbo lace (magic loop)
Pattern: Slipped Stitch Rib from Sensational Knitted Socks book
Yardage: approx 275 yards
Seascape Scarf:
Started: 6/12/09
Finished: 7/17/09
Yarn: Panda Cotton - Seascape
Pattern: Panda Cotton Drop Stitch Scarf by Kala
Needles: US 2 (2.75mm)
Yardage: 178 yards (just about the entire skein)
That should earn me my letter for July, but I have also cast on another project that I may finish in July as well.
Cast on post for the Flora hat:
Pattern: Flora
Yarn: Knit Picks Shine Worsted in Sailor (blue) and Grass (green)
Cast on: 7/7/09
I have since finished the fair isle section and just need to knit the top of the hat:
I also have a progress photo for the mystery socks I am knitting in Panda Soy and Maizy (these should end up being my August project for the 52 week challenge!):
That's all for now!

Green socks are ready
This pair is mine, and mine only. They came ready today when watching the start of today's stage of the Tour. The yarn used in this pair is Knit Picks Bare, dyed in Green Tea; 360 meters were used. Pattern idea is mine.

My sock for the Tour de France - it's actually red, white and blue, although the red is showing up more brown. Anyway, it's yarn I had in my stash and I think it's probably Lion Brand. I'm not a great sock knitter, and as you can see this is just a 'vanilla' top down sock knit using magic loop, although I am using dpns for the heel.
Tour de France KAL - beginnings
A girl has to meet some challenge. See my start into socks with our national colours. Two weeks to go for finishing them and the mountain socks and the yellow socks. Oh my... But this is all fine with me as I tend to "forget" a second sock. At least I rarely do two socks of the same pattern, but two or even three socks from the same skein, but without the boring duplicate knitting. Then I wear two socks of different patterns, but from the same skein. So far, only few noticed.
