I wasn't sure what I was going to knit for this KAL, but on October 1st I found out about a Mystery Sock KAL on Ravelry that sounded like so much fun, I immediately cast on with some Fuchsia Panda Cotton. The first week of instructions were for the cuff. I knit the first cuff, put it on stitch holders and am almost done with the 2nd cuff:
I also made a list of other projects I'd like to try to accomplish during this KAL:
1. Dishcloths - I thought these would be quick worsted weight projects for when I need a break from socks. I have a stash of dishcloth cotton and they always make good Christmas gifts for my Mom (she loves knit dishcloths) and others. I also have quite a few dishcloth patterns I've been wanting to try.
2. Fair isle vest - The pattern is from the fall 2007 issue of Knit Simple magazine. I bought the yarn and ordered the circular needles I need. This will be my first big fair isle project and I'm very excited!
3. I have a pattern for Sampler socks using some Sockina Cotton I have in the stash.
4. A simple black garter stitch triangle shawl for my mom (also by request). ;-)
