Hi guys. I need to get a sock blocker, but Darin is still unempolyed. Any ideas? I love how you all have "fake Feet" to show off your creations too. Are there legless manequin's running around in the world (or not with no feet!)

Hi Jody,
I would like to have one of those cute wooden blockers, too, with a sheep or something like that.
Until I win the lottery I go with some cut out of cardboard. You must play a bit with length and angle for the ankle, but you will get there.
When you got the right shape and your socks look well on cardboard, your next step might be Mylar (stashed it for quilting templates) or any other thick foil you can cut with scissors and have a go.
The only thing that is omportant with foils is that you must care for a very smooth edge in roder to not splitting the yarn.
With some holes in the middle you even can let your socks dry on them.
Here is an example how to do it for mittens:

I forgot something: My fake foot is bruised deco foot a shop gave me for free instead of putting it in the dumpster. Perhaps you find something similar?
hi jody
here is a tutorial for making your own sock blockers from a heavy plastic placemat.

or you can make some form coated wire clothes hangers. that is what i have (besides my newly acquired fake legs).
"from" not "form" augh!!!!!
Hey, i did "unempolyed!."
Jody
i guess we really do see what we want to see and not what really is! LOL!
almost like knitting something that is not quite right but thinking it will be ok when it's finished and blocked!
totally!
