Finished Spitzbergen

I finished my Spitzbergen Shawl, although not in time for the contest. The pattern was written for lace weight yarn, but I was afraid that it would be too small so I used JaggerSpun Maine Line, which is fingering weight. It came out huge (measuring 74" by 34" but seems larger since it curves and fits like a hug), but I love it. I know it will get a lot of use!

WOW!!! So beautiful! Just the inspiration I needed to get back to it AFTER a few more wips like my ultramarine LULU. But now this is back closer to the top of the list. Lovely yarn choice, too.

It's beautiful! I have yet to knit a lace shawl but after seeing all the pretty ones everyone has been knitting on here, I am definitely inspired! One of these days!

Beautiful Deb, I have downloaded the six clues, but haven't had a chance to knit this yet. Bought lace yarn for it, which given what you said about using fingering weight I think I will double my lace weight to get the larger size.

Such a lovely colour.
