Rainbow Gridiron socks for Fred

I found out that Fred will be teaching a course in Darwin next month and will be wearing Bermudas in the usually 88F tropics. I dyed this knit picks bare yarn with Wilton's copper and brown and decided it would work with a skein of mini-mochi Rainbow. I have a 2nd skein and will use it with blue on the top and bottom of the sock. We live on the "Rainbow Coast" and Fred loves the idea of wearing these when he teaches experimental plane maintenance procedures. He has many other airplane socks as you know. :) The pattern is Anne Hanson's Gridiron. I will finish these 2 pairs of socks in the middle of the UFO KAL projects which are on hold for now. I did finish the Tanta shawl and have to take a pic of it blocking. I know I NEED some more mini-mochi. Love that yarn! I started this sock in the morning and couldn't stop knitting because the colors are so gorgeous and I just kept going. It is quite addictive. One skein will easily make 2 cuffs.

What a great idea! Plus, it helps to keep the interest going. I do like the colors.

Thanks. This was a fun project and I plan to knit a second pair once I figure out which pattern to use. :)
