Crocheted Afghan
I just completed a crocheted afghan that I made for a wedding gift. I used Plymouth Encore worsted yarn. The white background took 2200 yards, plus approx. 600 yards for the flowers (I used leftover bits and pieces of various colors) and 800 yards for the leaves. I made all of the flowers first, then added the leaves, and finally did the background. The blocks were attached with flat braid square joining so they were joined as they were done - no sewing to do at the end, and all of the ends were finished and clipped as the squares were finished and joined. That made the finishing very easy. Here are the progress photos of the flowers and leaves and the completed afghan.
