I finished with a few days to spare.... I originally made this for my grandson, Bobby (5) and I was going to make it in the reverse colors for my grandson, Ryan (almost 4). The neck is a little snug tho' so this may be going to Ryan instead...now to finish the next one. I used the Hamish pattern from the Rowan Juniors book, Comfort DK by Berroco and size 3 and 5 needles. I think it turned out neat looking! Can't you just see this with some khaki pants or jeans and a plaid shirt.
