My 11th entry to the 12/12/12

Okay, that would have been cooler had I saved it for *next* month, but since I don't trust my memory….. Here's yet another pair of slipper boots. This is a folded cuff pair using 750 yds of knitpicks something yarn, again doubled. Yes, it's the same yarn with pics taken from the ever lovely camera phone. If anyone happens to know who ran off with the cord to my camera, I'd love to know where it went. Okay, I know the last person to touch it, but they claim innocence. (shocker!) However, isn't it amazing what a third light source will do? At any rate, otn is a shell top for me……which I hope you'll be seeing this year! I have *another* pair of slipper boots to make, but I'm taking a few days off. This pattern is starting to grind on my nerves a bit. Now, the question is "will Shelly actually have something to submit to the holiday kal?" -chuckles-

Hope everyone is well!

September KAL

Well, we've gone from summer to late fall to monsoon season here in Minnesota. I'm glad to report the floodwaters are receding and the sandbags are going down. We're also down to only 3 roads being closed. Progress is good.

Here's the felted slippers and hat I made for my swimmer. She gets might cold on the bus after a meet. I did such a fantastic job, she now wants them in a more neutral color to wear to school. Just proves the old addage, the more you knit, the more you need to knit! These projects are becoming like gremlins.

I used 850 yards of elann something wool, doubled and 100 yards of whatever in the heck their eyelash yarn on sale was. Yep. Budget knitting is the key phrase anymore!!!

Happy Stitches Everyone!

Crummy cell pics, fun knit!

Here's my contribution for August. I got this *brilliant* idea that I wanted to knit a nightie for one of the Stitches Midwest PJ party. I finished seaming and tucking in ends about 2 hours before the party began, GOOD ENOUGH. I'll have to go back and check yardage, but I do know it's over 1,000 yds, so no worries there. So much to knit, so little time. You know, I want 24 hours in a day JUST TO KNIT. *sigh* Life. (This is out of elann sonata in Jade)

I'm back home

Here's my finished June Skirt. I sent the email to Adrienne from my cell due to lack of proper computer accessibility. (do I EVER love the face I can email from my text messages!) Now it's time to get hopping and cast on something for July. I should pick something quick and uncomplicated, but we all know this isn't going to happen. Have a good one!

Can you believe it?!?!?!

I'm done with a project BEFORE the end of the month. Whooot Whooot! Here's the Shoulder Cape by Debbie Bliss made out of Marble Chunky. I used about 525 yards of yarn. Now I should be able to give it to her in time to pack away for next fall. A girl can only do what a girl can do.

Happy Spring!!!!

DNF by Shelly and Brodie.

At least I'm in good company. Instead, I finished a scarf for the 12/12/12. Life is full of decisions and compromises. It's all good. I used 330 yards of Cashmerino and a fingering cashmere. This is seriously the softest thing I've ever completed. It's going to keep my snuggling for many years to come.
