Two projects for September!

I fell in love with SpillyJane's Gnome mittens. This is my first stranded colorwork project ever. They aren't perfect and they pucker where the 2 circs met but, when they are on my hands, no one knows but me!

Mods: different background pattern and made mitts rather than mittens

My second project is my usual pair of socks. These are for my 13 year old son in his school colors. He wore them to school the day after they were finished and said he was showing them off in math class.

Finished projects for May

I have 2 pairs of socks so far.
These are for my son. He likes the fair isle effect of the Opal/Regia/OnLine type yarns. I like that he can scuff his feet all over the house and they don't wear out in 3 wearings.

These are for my aunt. They are from The Knitter's Sock of the Month Club March shipment.

My KWTP project is done but I need to weave in my ends and block it. That will have to be another post!

March Project

February project finally!

We found out that the husband's nephew and his wife are expecting a baby girl in June. I have been in love with Anne Hanson's Rosebuddie blanket since she released it and waited to see what the sex of the baby was going to be before I decided on a gift ot knit for them.



It hasn't been washed and dried yet but it is still really pretty. :)

January finished projects

I made some gloves for the husband but they didn't meet the yardage requirements. I think that I still have half of a 400 yard skein left.

So I decided to make a pair of socks to make up the missing yardage! I had a walnut sized ball left from a 400 yard skein.
