Oh Man. These socks were a BLAST to make! I'm so glad I decided to participate in this Mystery KAL even though I'd never done mosiac before. It was so much fun!
These was done with Knit Picks Stroll, with a size 1 Knit Picks Options circular with a super long cable for 2 at a time magic loop.

Finished My Owl Gloves!
Jury duty is good for something, eh? =D And Knit Picks swish is super soft. I'll probably get it again even though a lot of people are saying it isn't really machine washable.
And here is an update on my Miss Marple socks. I have them both worked up to this point but the pictures keep coming out more yellow than green, so I wanted to just put up a picture with the right coloring. :) I think mosaic is my new favorite knitting technique!

Finished Project + New Project
I have finished my Thujas! They are done in Knit Picks Swish Worsted on size 6 and 5 needles. They ought to fit a 10.5 inch foot. If they don't I might have to shoot myself. And next time I make socks for someone else they should buy me a blocker in their size. XDI've got leftover yarn so I'm trying to get a pair of fingerless gloves done too. I am not sure if there is enough yarn for the second one. We shall see. They are called Under the Tree.

Holiday Kal: Socks Progress
I finally got my hands on some Panda Silk! I wonder if it would work for Adrienne's "Lotus". But I am working on 3 pairs of socks right now and I don't think I'll be able to finish a 4th pair before the deadline for this KAL. :-(
You guys have seem my Thuja before, done in Knit Picks Swish Worsted.
I've undone the grafting since then because I think it is a bit too big for the recipient and want to do a fitting in case I have to rip back. The second one is a few rows from the toe.
Next - The Miss Marple mystery socks from Sock Knitters Anonymous. They are my first mosaic pattern ever and they are coming out fabulous. I am using Knit Picks Stroll sock yarn for these. This picture is clue one, but I am about 2/3rds through clue 2 right now and I'll add that picture here when I'm done with it.
And last and probably least, the Goddess Knits mystery socks for November. This first clue was completely boring because it was only a simple ribbed cuff. I'm hoping the rest of the pattern is a bit more complex. I also don't know if I like the recommended yarn, which is Farmhouse Silk Blend. It looks pretty, but feels really rough on my hands. I hope it softens up with a soak.

Holiday Kal: Luna Hat & Thuja Socks
I finally finished the Luna Hat! In-progress pictures can be found in this post.

I think it came out fabulous. Luna thinks so, too.
And here is a picture of the recipient wearing it along with her Halloween costume!

And I am ditching the previous Ladder of Life socks I posted and doing a pair of Thujas instead! They are being done with KnitPicks Swish Worsted.

I have two mystery socks to do this month, also. No idea if they will get done before this KAL is over, but I'll post them here anyway when I start them. =D

Holiday Kal: Jayne Hat
I finally finished a project that qualifies for the KAL! This wasn't part of my initial list, but a friend of mine FINALLY watched Firefly and wanted a Jayne Hat. So this is my third ever Jayne Hat, but done on a different yarn than the first two. Jayne hats are a super quick knit and only take a day or two to complete.
The yarn is Vanna's Choice this time (Rust, Mustard, and Brick). Vanna's is pretty thick for a worsted weight so doubled it's thicker than a normal bulky weight, in my opinion. I cast on 64 stitches and it is still much bigger than my 70 stitch hat I made for me out of Lion Brand Wool-Ease Chunky. Which is good, because my friend has a big head, but still!
I'd initially cast on 80 stitches but it was huge and I had to rip it and cast on with less. The progress pic with just the orange was the original size.
Edit: The pattern I always use for Jayne Hats is this one. =D

Cal's Holiday KAL: Two more Projects!
First of all, I have completed clue #1 of the Fall Mystery Shawl. I am using Knit Picks Gloss (Chipotle). The first few rows were really hard because they are double-sided lace, and the double decreases on the wrong side were a huge pain. But it was worth it to get to the later rows. Cute leafies! (Edit: Just found out I have to make a SECOND one of these. My poor fingers. T_T)

I've also started the Luna hat and now I only have to do the crescent moon. I took a bunch of progress shots for everyone! I am using Vanna's Choice for this project. I believe the colorways are Pink, Purple, and Mustard. (Why they don't just have Yellow I'll never know).
