April Project!

Here's my April project, which I promise was actually finished in April. (Barely.) It really, really needed to be blocked before I took photos, so here it finally is.

The pattern is Judy Marples' Calais Shawl, the yarn is Miss Babs Bamboo Baby, in an unknown colorway which I purchased at Stitches South last year.

Last Minute March Photos

It's a bit last minute, but here are my WIP + finished project photos for the 12/12/12 KAL.

I ended up focusing on crochet projects this month, though I've also started the Evenstar Mystery shawl, which I hope to finish this year. (I'm more than a bit behind already.)

Anyways, my first project was the neck ruff from a recent issue of Crochet Today:

And the second is a 'vest' from Contemporary Crochet, which I used 2 skeins of sock yarn for instead of the recommended mohair yarn.

February Projects, Finished.

With a few hours left in the month, here are my two projects for February in the 12/12/12 KAL.

My first project is an Herbivore shawl using Mini-Mochi in the Treasure Chest colorway. I love the way this yarn looks in this shawl! I think I'll be making it again in different colors eventually.



Since the shawl took less yarn than expected (only 230 yards or so) I started a new project last night to get enough yardage for the month. This second project is a neckwarmer/button-up cowl using an altered Accordion Scarf pattern from the lastest Knit Simple magazine. I'm happy with the way it turned out, but I'll be making it again and altering the pattern some more.

January WIP + Prize Yarn

Here's my WIP photo for the month:

It's a September Scarf Shawl, out of Knit Picks Shadow Kettle Dyed. Very quick knit, it's all finished and even blocked. I'm hoping to get some decent photos of it tomorrow, my camera isn't too thrilled with the orange.


And here's my prize yarn, which is even prettier than I thought it would be!
It's Kid Merino in Painted Iris. I'm looking forward to using it, I already have some potential patterns in mind. Thanks again to everyone, you all are wonderful!
