Holiday KAL 4

I started this project on 10/4/11. The pattern is called Seaside Shawlette, and the yarn is hand-dyed, by EweandUs.com. I just love the color for this yarn, and it is going to be a gift for my co-worker. Her little 3 month old daughter is fighting for her life right now, from a very rare genetic heart disorder. And I've been knitting this as an prayer shawl to give her once it's completed.

Here's a picture of the progress so far.

Holiday KAL 4 - Brenda (Owlsrook)

Oct. 13/11 - In progress photo of the cabled vest I am knitting for my Husband. This is the Handsome Pewter Vest pattern that is in the Fall 2011 Love of Knitting Magazine, which is a V-neck style pullover vest. I am using Lion Brand Fishermen's Wool, which I really like for aran and cabled garments for guys. I am about 2 inches from starting the armhole decreases. Brenda Owlsrook on Ravelry

Prime Time October

One pair of socks ready... started them with a skein that was claimed by Alexa on Ravelry, from SparkleAnnemieke. She wanted to knit her boyfriend a pair of socks, but never got to it... (school/work) And since his birthday is coming soon, I thought I'd knit the pair for him instead. The yarn is a delight to work with - I had really soft hands. Mountain Colors Hand Painted Yarns in the colour Bearfoot. 325 yards were used.

October Primetime KAL Clown socks

Send In The Clowns by Adrienne Fong. :) I had finished one sock and realized I wouldn't have enough yarn in the multi-colored one, so frogged back to the end of the leg section and used skinny bugga for the remainder of the socks. I forgot to take a pic of them finished before Fred wore them. He thinks they are great. Wonderful pattern and a lot of fun to knit. My start pic was posted in September.
