Thank you, Susan!

Thank you so much for my gift. I enjoyed so much knitting for the Olympics with the new Chili Red Superwash. I was lucky to get it. The manager of my LYS and I got all six skeins of the order. I was there when it showed up! And to then win some Bamboozle is really super nice. I am making my son a pair of "yarn" socks! His first pair is now too small. And he cried because they did not fit. So, I have to finish my Rhode Island socks and work on his pair. I love the color it is Delft Blue. The picture is pretty bad. My camera is really old. I will work on the socks and hopefully have them done for next month!

April 12m/12p/12boy Finished!

Project #1 is the Pembroke Vest made as a gift for a co-worker's new baby boy. I used Cascade 220 Superwash and made the 18 month size which used approx. 1.5 skeins (330 yrds). I'll need to get pics on a little person since it looks really skinny but will stretch alot.

Project #2 is a Booga Bag for my Cousin's Birthday. I used approx. 510 yrds of Lion Brand Fisherman wool, then felted it. Added grommets for the handles, a magnetic clasp and a pottery Acorn button I ordered from Etsy. I made the Icord felted handle, but I really like the idea of using a pretty scarf. I'm not sure if the one I have is the right one, but I wanted a picture of it to demonstrate. I think it would be nice with a dark red scarf with leaves of big flower patterns. Anyway, I really like it with the plain brown handle too. I'll let my cousin decide!
Next project... socks I believe.

12m/12p/12boy A dye job!

Here's another pair of tabis, nice and simple. I don't wear white socks very much, but it is nice to knit in white and then dye to match something in my wardrobe, so here they are! I kettle-dyed these with Kool-Aid and food paste...my favourite method.

Frogged and begun again

I frogged the Lotus Blossum tank, the yarn was too heavy for the lace, and have begun the Passiflora tank instead, from Twist Collective. I've actually got about 7 inches done so far.

April sock start

My latest socks are Skew from Knitty.com. I'm using Kroy yarn and 2.5 mm needles. The first sock has a number of stitch count adjustments. I'm being more much more careful with sock #2. So far, I'm right on track and presuming that my previous problems were user error.

April Project

Just finished these... was on vacation and didn't get a progress photo until I was ready to graft the second sock toe. Hopefully that is good enough for a progress photo!! I think the yarn and pattern work well together. Love the Noro colors but not the feel of the yarn.. hopefully it will soften up!
