Holiday gift or not KAL 4

Housewarming gift for a friend in England. I made a girly hand towel (Lacy Face Towel by Dianna Stevens) for Anna and used my own pattern for a more masculine hand towel for Neil. :) The yarn is Bernat Gloucester sport at 110 yds/50 gms and I used 103 gms (2 skeins and a bit of a 3rd). I'm showing Anna's gift so you can see it with Neil's. I made Anna's in August so it doesn't count, but forgot to share it. I made Neil's in September/October.

Holiday or not KAL 4

Yippee! I just realized the minimum for each project posted is 200 yds so I don't have to add another goodie to qualify for this posting. Whew! This is another pair of "mostly Adrienne" (same recipe as my previous post using the Madeline Tosh yarn) footies using Panda cotton. I have 26 gms left from the 2 skeins which totaled 100 gms. Very comfy for summer. :) About 240 yds for the pair. color is "misty greens".

We're going to need a bigger boat.......

Present for the Hubby, who played Rugby with the Northern Arizona Landsharks Rugby Football Club. Can't wait for the next tournament......or perhaps the International Sevens in Las Vegas??
Started sometime in November, finished 12/9/11. Based on Pattern: Shark Hat

Used (Mostly) Lion Brand Tweed, 124 grams, 210 yards. Small amount of Pattons wool in pinky/red color, and white fingering yarn for the eyes & teeth. I did the teeth a bit differently -- as a picot edging that was stitched in between the upper lip and mouth. Eyes are little ball buttons surrounded by I cord. My rav page: We're going to need a bigger boat....

Think he'll be surprised??

Special thanks for the RAK gift of the lovely red stitch markers.

Another gift for Holiday KAL

These socks are for my grandson, who has small feet, so I'm including a scarf for another grandchild.

This was knit in one 24 hour period. The yarn had no label and I don't know the yardage.

The socks were started on November 6 and finished on December 6, 2011. Yarn is KnitPicks Stroll in merlot heather color. Needles are US #1 - 2.25mm and the patter is from an old Stahl Socka book.

Holiday Kal 4 #1

Here's my first entry for the holiday KAL. I have another one or two coming depending on what I manage to finish by Saturday.

This is the Bunratty Baby Blanket and it was done in sport weight baby yarns. I used two different kinds of Bernat Baby, and the purple is Loops & Threads. I did this on a G hook.

I only made 36 squares instead of the amount the pattern called for, but because I did this with a continuous braided join instead of mattress stitching the squares together, and then I gave it a border, I'm probably still at 1500 yards or thereabouts. The yarn scale says it weighs 27 oz, but I'm not sure it's being weighed properly, heh.
