A simple lace cowl that will completely cover the head and neck. I knit the cowl, then dyed with Jacquard Sapphire Blue.

12m/12b/12p Midnight at the Oasis

The scarf is the pattern Renee's Lace Class Scarf, and was knit with some lost label merino yarn which I dyed using Wilton's Food Paste.

The scarf took exactly 400 yards, and sadly, is only 4 feet long. The scarf is part of a set which includes gloves.

12m/12b/12p Buckingham Scarf and gloves

Gift for my granddaughter's trip to San Francisco for her 30th b'day!! The scarf and gloves are knit from Buckingham by Plymouth yarn...and extravantly scrumptious blend of 80% alpaca and 20% silk. Fabulous! The scarf pattern is free from Plymouth, and I designed the gloves to coordinate. The scarf photo more accurately reflects the colour of the yarn.

The scarf weighs 82 grams, and used 357 yards, blocked at 8"x78". The gloves weigh 50 grams, 218 yards.

12m/12p/12b Gloves

As soon as I saw the pattern for these gloves, I just knew I had to knit them, and I am very pleased with the result. I used Cleckheaton Cocoon in a boring tan, then dyed the glove a rich coffee brown afterward. Total yardage: 304 yards.

Glove knitting is addictive!

12m/12p/12b Gloves

A pair of gloves with matching wristers. I want to add some small round buttons to the edge of the gloves so that the wristers can be attached to extend the length of the cuff. Of course, the wristers can also be worn alone! 348 yards.

12m/12p/12boy More socks!

Another pair of socks I first knit in bare yarn, then over dyed. The yarn is Elann Sockittome in bare, needles 2.25mm, dyed with Wilton's Food Paste in Violet.

A nice and easy simple tabi toe toe-up. One can never have too many little socks for camping, road trips, or just life in general!!

Tabi toe-ups number 2

Here are my second pair of tabi toe-ups, tweaking my 'recipe' a little to fine tune. This pair is going to my daughter. Matsu means pine in Japanese, and I chose that name because that is the colour of the yarn...spruce.

My first toe-up Tabi socks!

I decided I really need to learn how to knit socks from the toe-up, and since I wear mostly tabi socks, these are what I have created. I call these Knowledge is Power! because the knowledge I've gained from these simple socks is empowering, and my sock knitting universe has been significantly expanded!
