August Prime Time

Lots of little baby projects this month for a friend's daughter. Her baby girl is due in October. Most of these were made with Encore acrylic/wool blend so that they can easily be washed. The little skirt is Bernat yarn that will make the little flowers if you knit to gauge.

June Finished Project

My June project is another pair of socks. These are knit with Panda Soy in Lemon Cream colorway. The pattern is a Crystal Palace free pattern called Creme Hearts. I modified it by leaving off the diamond motif which is below the hearts on the original pattern.

Finished for May

For my May projects I am sharing a pair of socks knit from some sock blanks that I dyed. These have just a slight textured pattern on the cuffs. The other project is some Jester booties which I made for a friend's new grandson. I actually made a whole bunch of booties for him for different occasions. Most of the pictures of these are on my blog. I purchased the Jester pattern on Ravelry and used some Wildflower cotton yarn from my stash to make them.

Bunny Hop Cabled Cardigan

My March project was this Cabled Cardigan. It's a free CPY pattern that calls for Bunny Hop yarn, but this is the year I am "stashing down" so I made it in Elann's Sonata that I already had.
When I started it, I really wasn't sure I would have enough yarn, so I didn't make it quite as long as I would have liked and I made the sleeve quite a bit shorter. At first I didn't think I would even have enough for the front and neck edge so I just did a crocheted border, but I ripped it out and tried doing the ribbing. I had just enough. Seriously, there was only a tiny bit of yarn left.

February Fair Isle

A couple of years ago my husband was on a trip to France. He was sweet enough to hunt down a yarn shop and bring me back three skeins of sock yarn. Two skeins were Bergere de France Ch'7 (black and orange) and the third was Opal. I pulled those out for this month's KAL and combined them for my own Fair Isle pattern socks. Instead of trying to match the patterning by starting the Opal at the same spot on both socks, I decided to start them randomly and let the socks be a pair, but not exactly the same. I gave last month's socks away, but this pair I am keeping for myself.

January Projects Completed

Here are the yoga socks that I made for my daughter's friend. She loves them!

I realized that these probably were not the required 300 yards so I started a pair of fair isle socks from the Knitted Socks book by Anna Tillman. The book shows them knitted in neutral shades but that was just too boring for me! I picked black for my main color and these bright shades for the patterning. The yarn is Kroy sock yarn from my stash.

Yoga Socks

Hi! I'm new here, and what a fun group this is!

This is the first sock done of one of my January projects. They are the Paton's Yoga Socks. A few months ago I promised my daughter's friend that I would knit some socks for her. My daughter suggested the yoga socks.

I'm knitting them from some yarn I found in my stash. It's Kollage Luscious, a cotton and elastic yarn.
