March KAL projects

March was a light month. I am not sure I am happy I started this KAL as I really want to work on a couple things that would take over one month, but will try and tough it out. I am just feeling very limited and don't want too many things going at once.

Two pairs or Mrs. Beeton's were my projects- about 425 yard total

February Prime Time KAL posting

I knit a lot this month. It has been a fairly stressful month.

February

Feb_2_2011_9284
My main project for Feb. will be the Lacey shrug from Ravelry finally using a huge ball of handpainted mohair I bought years ago.  I would also like to accomplish another Clapotis too.  I also have every intention of finishing a ufo that wont count but so needs to be finished.

Last Project I start in January Finished

173 yards more 173+404= 577 total for Jan. for P.T. Kal
Hat finished, super quick. Loved the yarn and hate the yarn for its acrylic content. I am not a fan of acrylic generally and feel it has dragged down the warmth factor of the hat. I may make another in a different color but I will get some sock wool or mohair blend and knit an insulating lining.

First project for 2011

My son lost his neck warmer so this became the spur of the moment project.  He picked the skein out and I whipped it up, being crazy enough to stay up near all night so he would have it at recess today.  January will be tough for the KAL as I had started 2 projects just before the end of the year and will need to be getting those out of the way asap.  This used one skein110 yards size 8 circulars, 80 st in 2x2 rib till I ran out of yarn.
