love the new spin!

...on the mini-mochi!

i got some of the newer version of mini-mochi to play with. it has been spun a bit tighter so is less splitty than the first shipment. i love it. of course, i loved the first batch too. the yarn seems to fluff a bit after washing. it is still not fun to frog but being a single ply, i am not surprised.

mini-mochi in violets rainbow

US 1.5 needles (2.5mm)
gauge: 8.5 sts/inch in stockinette
mods: i added a lace panel down the leg as i am not fond of 6.5" on k3 p3 ribbing (BOR-ing!!)

i LOVE mini-mochi!

BEAUTIFUL socks and I love that they don't match. Really interesting seeing them together and the lace pattern instead of that boring k3 p3 is a great improvement. "Good on 'ya"!

Oh my, these are so pretty. Will the pattern be available on CPY site or by you? I love this one.

hi jody

the socks are in the book, "sock innovation," by cookie a. i wish i had designed these ;o). i did add the lace panel down the leg though. knitting these have given me some new ideas.

The lace panel down the leg is what makes the pattern so great! These look fabulous and such a great choice of yarn. Not too much pattern in either of them to fight with each other for attention. Just perfect. :)
