April 12m/12p/12boy Finished!

Project #1 is the Pembroke Vest made as a gift for a co-worker's new baby boy. I used Cascade 220 Superwash and made the 18 month size which used approx. 1.5 skeins (330 yrds). I'll need to get pics on a little person since it looks really skinny but will stretch alot.

Project #2 is a Booga Bag for my Cousin's Birthday. I used approx. 510 yrds of Lion Brand Fisherman wool, then felted it. Added grommets for the handles, a magnetic clasp and a pottery Acorn button I ordered from Etsy. I made the Icord felted handle, but I really like the idea of using a pretty scarf. I'm not sure if the one I have is the right one, but I wanted a picture of it to demonstrate. I think it would be nice with a dark red scarf with leaves of big flower patterns. Anyway, I really like it with the plain brown handle too. I'll let my cousin decide!
Next project... socks I believe.

Your bag is fantastic! My Mom is visiting and saw the pictures and is in love with it. The scarf is a great idea for the handles also. I just recently made my first market bag but maybe I should try the purse as a present. Great job!

Thanks. It is my 3rd felted bag. I was super nervous about felting, but turns out it is really easy. I got the fisherman's wool on sale too, so less than $10 for wool is awesome too. I love the pattern. It's easily modifiable to make it bigger or smaller or wider or taller. There's lots of great projects on Rav that give good ideas too. Good luck!
