This is a SKA challenge. It combines the Entrelac and the leftovers options. The pattern is inspired by an entrelac sock by Kathryn Anderson that was published in the Spin-Off sock book. Six colors of leftover yarn have been used. I may have to add another grey to finish the second sock. They're a birthday present for my daughter-in-law. Needles size US #1-2.25mm for the leg and US #1 1/2 - 2.5mm for the foot.

Another gift for Holiday KAL
These socks are for my grandson, who has small feet, so I'm including a scarf for another grandchild.
This was knit in one 24 hour period. The yarn had no label and I don't know the yardage.
The socks were started on November 6 and finished on December 6, 2011. Yarn is KnitPicks Stroll in merlot heather color. Needles are US #1 - 2.25mm and the patter is from an old Stahl Socka book.

Socktober update
These socks didn't fit DH. They were a little tight and too short. Fair Isle is hard to frog. I ended back at the toe and went up one size. Progress has been good. I'm almost at the gusset with the new width and the socks will be 1" longer. Some yarns and patterns have more stretch than others.
My Mystery socks are finished through clue #3. Unfortunatly the last clue comes out on Oct. 29.

December post
I missed posting this for the Holiday KAL. What can I say, I've been busy knitting things that I can't show you. I'm hoping to sell the patterns, so no pictures. I also have a full time job, which takes up a lot of knitting time.
A pair of socks for a December birthday. These are for a grandson who likes orange. Both yarns are from Knit Picks. The pattern is my own. Finished Dec. 3 and already gifted.

Progress on socks
These are my own pattern, for a birthday in late October. I've been playing with gusset decreases. I like them better now than I did when sock #1 was finished. Yarn is Bernat Sox. Sock #2 is restarted. I forgot to twist the knits in the rib.
There is progress on the black socks. The birthday was in July, but I gave an IOU. Time to get them finished, but after the blue ones. Again they are my own pattern. The intended foot is wide.

Baby Socks
I have a lot of leftover sock yarn, so I thought I'd use it up and get some Christmas knitting done at the same time. My niece is the same age as my son (4 months), so I knew I'd be able to check the size and fit on him.
Hopefully she won't mind that they're blue. Her mommy should like it, though, because she's told me that she's sick of always dressing her in pink!
Pattern: My own cobbled version, casting on 36 stitches and working a short row heel
Yarn: Knitpicks Memories, about 100 yards total
Needles: 4 Circular needles US size 2

Some holiday knitting
I started early this year. I have finished 2 1/2 pairs of socks for some of the young men in our family. Last year I knit socks for all the women. In May I finished socks for my son. pictures on my blog.I seem to have missed showing the next pair on my blog, but they are for the DH of DD#1. I don't seem to have a picture of the finished socks. Here's a view of the pattern. The pattern is Crusoe from Knitty by Marilyn Roberts, because they are stranded. The yarn is from Herrschner's, bought on sale a couple of years ago.
I finished one more sock this weekend, for husband of DD#3 (The man I skipped got socks last year). I'll show progress on that in another post. I also have a scarf and some dishcloths in my gift drawer, with no particular person in mind.
