March Project: 50 States HI Sock

Here's the progress shot of my March project, it's the sock I designed that's going to be in the upcoming book on cd 50 Socks - 50 States. I'm very honored and excited to be included in this project and I'm very happy with what I came up with for Hawaii, here's the one sock I just finished:

The inspiration for this sock was the beautiful but deadly display of colors from a volcano eruption, especially the contrast of black and oranges, something like this:

I used Crystal Palace's Panda Cotton in Jet Black and Red Cinnamon.

You sure picked the right yarn and colors to depict the Vulcano. The sock design is lovely, congratulations on your design and publication.

LOVE IT!!!!!!!! Congrats and great inspiration and design. I have to go check out that cd. I just hope I don't get offended! (gotta love living in an easy to make fun of state!)

Excellent yarn for a volcano and the pattern looks great for it. Looks like a great pair of socks to wear in October. :)
