Fulled August Primetime

I finished a couple of fulled bags this month: 1 smaller with 200 yards and 1 giant cabled bag with around 1000 yards.

For the smaller bag, I controlled the tension and stitch count so the colors would argyle. The yarn is a bulky green single from Norway.

For the larger bag, I whipstitched the cables before fulling. The cables survived the washing machine, so that gamble paid off. The yarn is from a sweater I frogged.

These are great! I recently felted an Aran sweater I made for Fred in 1966. I could never get rid of it and figured I could try to make a felted bag. I'm inspired to continue the experiment now. Mine is overly felted, but still might work. Yours look so nice!
