October's Project is Off the Needles

Didn't think I was going to get something off the needles. I have way to many items go
ing and trying to work on them all. But I made myself work on this till it was done. I did the mystery shawl from the Ravelry Group, Criminal Minds. Criminal Minds Mystery Kerchief, by threebagsfull, aka Hilary. I used yarn from Miss Babs, from the Woolgirl Sock Club, Ladybug. You got it Red and I add the edge which was a garter stitch in Black.
I really like how this turned out. I think that I knit it twice. The pattern said COUNT COUNT COUNT wrote in red but do you think I can count nope. I started this one 4 times and then had to frog numerous time. But over all I love how it turned out and the pattern popped out with the blocking. Well I better getting knitting if I want to get something done for next month it might take me that long. Happily knitting, Bye.

Just made it in for this month. I knit the Bitterroot Shawl out of Knitty, Winter 2009 by Rosemary Hill. I used yarn from the stash, The Painted Tiger Tabby Merino Lace. In Chocolate Raspberry. I made the long version and almost use the 900 yds. which was my goal.

Aug. Items Finished

I actually got two projects this month. Walk Through the Woods Kerchief, July's Woolgirl Sock Club. The yarn is from Knitted Wit. This was a fun pattern I had never worked one that went a different way. The Brandywine Shawl gave me an aah moment and I was able to finish this one.

I also finished Brandywine by Romi. Yarn from Zen Yrn Garden. Loved how this shawl turned out and I will make this again. Maybe it was working with merino cashmere I'm not for sure.

Well till next month, have fun knitting. Bye

June's Projects

I almost forgot to post. Time seems  to have a way of slipping by me, way to fast. I knit 2 small shawls and am working on several socks. The sock mojo seems to have gotten lost this month. I just couldn't get the yarn and the pattern to work.
My first shawl is called Triangel by Caroline Lang. I used Noro Kureyon Sock yarn in S233 colorway. I liked how this shawl turned out it was a fast and easy knit. I used it as my travel project.                                                                                               My second shawl was knit for Mom, she wanted something small to take with her make east. I had a hard time to finded the right pattern that worked with this yarn. The yarn came out of a Woolgirl kit Club "The Wizard of Oz" Ruby Red Slippers. The yarn is dyed by Zen Yarn Garden  her Bling yarn with silver. So I needed the right pattern and to make sure that I had enough yarn. I used Seriously Simple Shawl by Wendy D. Johnson, this is a great shawl. I didn't make it quite as large as the pattern because I knew that I would run out of yarn. I ordered another skein and said a little pray that it could be matched. Jen, from Woolgirl, sent me 2 skeins but neither where a good match. So I decided to make the yarn change at the end in the last repeat so over all it doesn't look that bad and if you didn't know about the problem you might not even notice.
Well that's it for this month till next month. Happily knitting
