12/12/12boy and Olympics

My project for feburary is a sock knitting bag. It won at the Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival two years ago. I am not sure what fiber it is but I hope it felts! My Canada socks are going well. Here is a progress picture. It is the Bamboo pattern on the CPY site. I am using the Panda Superwash in Chili Red and Panda ? in Natural. (not sure which one it is.) The Chili sold out before it was even on the shelf. Lucky timing! I love it.

Last of January 12/12/12 and gift!

Hi, I finished a pair of socks from the Iron Knitter competetion on Ravelry. Done in Cascade Heritage-tutu. Pattern by Judy Summers. They are size 5 for my mom. Tiny feet compared to mine! I also got a gift for last years 52-week contest. They are perfectly purple and my favorite color! Thanks so so much! They are lovely and being used for round two in IK. Don't expect to go far in this round. You all saw me do a pair of socks in a month and this has it to about two-weeks! The pattern this round is from Janine Le Cras and a totally monsterous lacy thing! So Wish me luck and see you all for the Oympics! Sorry for the wonky pics but my camera is super old. I wish the marker piture was better because they are awesome!

hi, here is the scarf I did for January. But, it is lost in one of the kid's rooms. They snaked it from me because it is so soft. I hope you all are having a great New Year so far. Been really busy with Darin out of state. Yeah for the Olympics!

Happy Ney Year and January Starts

Hi, everyone. Happy New Year! I hope you all have a healthy and wonderful 2010. My start for January is a "Gathered Scarf " from Ravelry. It is actually made from a sweater that the kids won't let me get rid of. They were always on top of me when I wore it. I have never recycled this way but the kids are excited to see it in a new way. It uses two size needles and it is super fun to do. I also have a skein of Cocoa Mint Panda Soy for this month. But, I can't pick a pattern.

Any ideas? Darin is still un-employed and we are only living on $175.00 a week due to an adjustment in his baseline. He worked for two weeks last summer and was $98.00 over the minimum (for a family of four.) EEK. So, no yarn budget until he gets work. But I have some stash.
