June 2011 Prime Time

Much like last month I have lots of ideas and ended up w/ socks and monsters. .
The socks are upside down ampersands in 716KNIT Twist sock.
The other friends are Harold The Houseplant Monster (orange) and Kat the Kitchen Monster (monster of many colors - dancing dog dyeworks) - patterns by Rebecca Danger.

Prime Time - May projects

I have a little mismatch of projects this month. . .
Finally! I finished the Sweet Briar Scoodie that was started way back in Feb - just in time for the bday it was intended. . . I kind of like the idea of the hooded scarf but the pattern was painfully boring and picking up the border was not my fave either - if I were to make something else like it I would just pick a patterned solid scarf and hood w/ matching edge and it would go much faster!
Then as usual I had a few socks in the rotation. First was my 3 ewes Twisted in Fiber stripey fix w/ "frog legs":
and my purple "blueberry waffle socks" that was meant for my Apr solid socks but wasn't finished until May :) :
and lastly, we went a little bananas over "Jerry the Musical Monkey":

Prime Time - April 2011

I had a lot of things I wanted to get finished this month but here it is the 30th and the only actual completed project is socks. My happy stripes just kept getting knitting time while some other things sat waiting.
I did a vanilla rib with the March colorway for Three Ewes Twisted in Fiber "Citrus Blush":

March FO's

My March project, surprise, more socks. . .pattern: honey socks. . in lornas laces "sunshine". They were gifted away to someone who likes shorter socks and after weighing the remaining yarn I think they were a little short on yardage so I add in a quick waffle knit dishcloth. . .

February Projects

February finishes. . . I have been on a bit of a stripey kick and made legwarmers for dance in Knitpicks Chroma Lollipop. They were the hit of mini ballet class. I also finished one last request for fingerless gloves also using Chroma in New England. And I finally got around to felting a huge wash of stuff and finished a couple little "Abbi's Purses" first. (I forgot a progress photo of my 2nd but was trying to enlarge the size-in the end I like the original pink version best-small is just cute!)
my ufo's are dwindling and I am onto All About Me socks for awhile! yay

January Finished Objects

I am not usually so full of random knit projects but I kept wanting to start new things between finishin up some left over projects. I had a request for black texting gloves and then used most of the remaining yarn on the hat for my munch. ( I started w/ 2 skeins for ease of 2aat and ended up w/ about 50yds left so 344yds of wool-ease used).

Then my Chroma Prism hat took a little over half the ball - so at least 100yds. I love the stripes and was kind of experimenting w/ the yarn to decide if the fingering would work for socks - but sadly I don't like to have to worry about the strength of my socks and might have to pass.

I also finished the leftover 'to-be' felted bowl w/ was a tad under 1 skein of patons wool - doubled so counting for 100 yds. It is still unfelted and being modeled as a sloppy hat. :)

First Post/First Project(s) progress

I started and finished a pair of childrens fingerless gloves using the free "220 Fingerless Mitts" pattern and the new knitpicks Chroma Worsted.
The remaining yarn made a matching hat and I have every last scrap reserved for a pom pom on top :)
I had a request for an adult pair in washable black so those are started in some trusty wool-ease and am hoping to get some new socks on the needles tonight!
Thanks for letting me join in! I am enjoying seeing everyone elses projects.
