Primetime July

Here is my July project. It is a felted bag. I used four skeins of Lamb's Pride in purple and one in charcoal. I like it very much but, I am not looking forward to sewing the lining to make it prettier! The purple yarn was seconds and one skein was just a total mess. But, I worked it out with the stripes. I am so glad to be going back to knit with CPY. It is a nice birthday present for me! It can hold so many knitting projects!

cast on-June 2011

cast off-July 27th

yarn- Lamb's Pride

needles- 13

Will I make it again? Probably not with this yarn. But, with CPY totally! My birthday is on Friday and I can get a discount at my LYS! I am so excited and can not wait until Friday!

yarn- Panda Cotton- blue

I love these socks. I have wanted to make these since I got the cd. The only thing I would do different is to not do the duplicate stitch for the mountains.

Hi everyone. Here are my April items. I made a Coquille shawl. It is made from Crystal Palaces new Sausalito yarn in Monet. The color is truer in the right side picture.

The other items are three potholders and one lipbalm holder for a swap I am in. They are in cotton thread. Where did the month go? I am going to make another shawl for next month in Mochi!

March primetime

Hi, I have a pile of things for March. Next month I am going to be able to handle fingering yarns. I have two prayer squares, one dishcloth, a Tuesday Evening cowl (nutmeg tones,) and a Reckless cowl (purple.)
I used Encore for the navy square, and Lion Brand for the Earth and sky for the brown and blue square. The dishcloth is Peaches and Creme. The Tuesday Evening cowl is Panda Silk DK doubled. My favorite is totally the Tuesday cowl. I used the whole skeins making it taller. And, finally the reckless cowl. It was TOTALLY RECKLESS. The numbers were off on the pattern and the swirls do not line up. It was also super small because it barely goes over my head. It fits my DD well so she may snake it. I was super disappointed. I may just rip it out and make something else. I am going to try to block it again and see if I can live with it. The yardage was way off also. Nathan just lost both front teeth and had to be in the picture!
I am so glad to be onto different projects! I am going to do the Coquille cowl on the CPY group on Ravelry and the 50 socks New Wheat sock on the 50 socks 50 states group.

I can't wait to do the shawl on the CPY group on Ravelry. It has been a long time with no fingering yarn on my needles.

prime time february

Hi , here are is one more. It is a puppy sweater for my neighbor's furbaby. She is adorable and just a little bullet running around she is so cute. Unfortunately they are on vacation. Papa is an Oregon Ducks fan so I had to do green and yellow. I posted a progress pic earlier ( I am looking for a Ducks icon/badge to put on the back. But, since it is something specific that I want I can not find it! .And the progress picture of my final item to make February's amount! I also have three lip balm holders to add too. ( They are for the two receptionists and my surgeon and little gifts.) I do not have a needle large enough to weave in the ends. The yarn is huge and I am not sure how to do it. Any ideas would be cool.
I used Encore for the sweater and Lion Brand for the cowl. I picked pink because of me going through my cancer thing. Tomorrow I will know what treatment I will be doing too. I am so excited to just get going and being able to knit again! YEAH. Missed the whole me,me,me thing but got this done. It was way too much really. I like when I can just do a pretty pair of socks instead.

primetime Februrary

Hi, here are my projects for Feburary. I do not know if I will finish this month. Diagnosed with breast cancer two week ago Monday. I had a lumpcetomy and lymphnodes removed. Will get results back tomorrow on the next steps. It is really fun knitting and typing on pain meds! So I will try.

Finished ones first. Two coffee cozy's in left over Noro worsted for the Portland Yarn crawl for a friend am I.

Progress I am making a second pair of slippers to go over my handknit socks and I took a picture with the 1st pair and the new skein for accountability. I like these very much because I am always cold. They are a lovely purple tweed wool from Cascade. Used the wholes skein of the first one and expect to do so on the second gift for someone else as well.

Next PandaSilk dk plain made up cowl for knitting while mediatced. First time using this arrn ansdI like it very much. It is Laquer red in color and a happy color.
Sweater for my neighbors pet. Wayover my head to do with out a pattern but I am trying.
and Lastly Lip balm holders for a United Way crarft fair for a friend. These are crochet and pretty fast.
I wish I could finish my Oregon socks but they are soo complicated right now. Finished pictures soon

2011 Prime Time- January

Hi, here is my first project that was finished this year. I used Cascade 128 and the whole skein. Just after I finished weaving them in (I got a nudge from God while praying) and then gave them away to a friend who super needed a blessing. They are based loosely on the first class sock I made my son. Off to work on my next project. It will be the Molten sock from the 50 Socks 50 States cd.
