I have knitted in 2010

I hope everyone had a safe New Year. Hoping it is a year of happyness for all.

I did start a few items. Some are gone as fast as they came off the needles/hooks. But I did manage to get some pictures of a shawl I made.

This is Adrienne's new shawl pattern. I had the Panda Wool so decided to see how it works up into a shawl. I do like how it feels and drapes. Did not have enough of the blue for the full shawl (so even though Adrienne held her breath praying/hoping that it would look good), I went ahead and used 2 different colors.

I like it. It only took 2 days to knit.

Here is the pattern

Now I know Adrienne planned it to be a different oz, but .....Off I will go clicking my Ruby Red Slippers (ok they are clogs) looking for frogs in oz.

Sorry for the lack of prettiness in the photo. But we don't see sun in this part of the world this time of year.

I finally have a few things I can show off

I'm making a knit version of a Marcy Tilton Vogue jacket, The original is sewn. The story is on my blog if anyone cares. I will sew it again in wool. The first one was in linen. This version is dishcloth cotton in a 3 color seed stitch. Two of the colors have been in my stash for almost 20 years.

I've been knitting on a pair of socks for my daughter. I actually have the first sock finished. The yarn is Patons Kroy Socks 4 ply in blazing blue. Needles 2.5 mm.

I keep working on the crocheted dishcloths. Three are finished, in a variegated yarn with blue trim. The fourth will be blue with the variegated trim. It looks like it's time to take more photos.

I'm also doing the Mystery Sock KAL. I misread the pattern to start with and am redoing the ribbing. The longer one is correct. The yarn for this is CPY Panda Wool that I won in last year's Tour de Sox. Color is Ultramarine.

we had susan generate 50 numbers for the drawing. there were 454 entries (100yds/entry) and we knitted/crocheted a combined total of 52,059 yards (and this does not even account for the projects that were started but not finished (it wasn't "ME"!). debi has graciously withdrawn her name from competition; but just to let you all know how generous she is being...she was the winner of the grand prize and her numbers came up at least another 10 times (i think she wins for most yards!). so smoochies to debi from all the people who had the numbers after hers!!!!

Finished Photo!

I posted about finishing these last week, I think, here is the pic now that I have located my camera. I haven't figured out the yardage yet as I have started another pair of socks using the leftover yarn. If I don't finish this second pair (in-progress photo soon, I promise!) before the deadline, I will post a guesstimate by the 30th. I am using the Charade pattern from Ravelry for the 2nd pair.
Love all the pics, everyone!
