Finished some more

I had some panda silk DK and wanted to see it in a shawl. Pardon the pictures as the wind picked up and it started pouring down rain. Thank You Laura for helping out with this one. Pattern is pimpelliese Easy to pattern to do once you chart it out yourself.

Sometimes I do not say No loud enough or fast enough. I was asked to make this vest. I never did say I would but somehow went home with the thread for it. Pattern had to be redone as I did not have the correct cotton thread so the motifs were bigger. But here it is modeled on my neighbor.

Gansey Girl Socks - February 12/12/12

I finished off my SKA Mystery Socks, aka Gansey Girl! They are knit with Panda Silk in Butterscotch and they have little 8/0 beads that blend right into the sock. I don't have much yarn left, but I don't have anything to weigh it with. I think 350 yards is a safe bet. What do you guys think? My foot is about 9.5 inches long, and I made the leg about 5 inches.

we had susan generate 50 numbers for the drawing. there were 454 entries (100yds/entry) and we knitted/crocheted a combined total of 52,059 yards (and this does not even account for the projects that were started but not finished (it wasn't "ME"!). debi has graciously withdrawn her name from competition; but just to let you all know how generous she is being...she was the winner of the grand prize and her numbers came up at least another 10 times (i think she wins for most yards!). so smoochies to debi from all the people who had the numbers after hers!!!!

this is the magnificent, wonderful, terrific, gorgeous, can't-stop=knitting Mini-Mochi, which is a superwash merino sock wt yarn. i am knitting the "intense rainbow" - more colors here at Mini-mochi colors. this yarn will be in your stores in early jan.
This is a new scarf i'm working on, which is a Tibetan Prayer flags design, and is using the 5 colors of DK panda silkDK Panda Silk ... it uses natural, forest, cranberry, denim and then the buttercup tones in Panda silk {doubled} panda silk colors
..... these 5 colors are water/air/earth/fire/spirit in the traditional Tibetan symbolism, and of course are the colors in prayer flags. i plan to knit in traditional symbols also - the OM, wheel of the dharma, endless knot, dorje, etc. Scarf will be a gift for my longest friend Kaitlin.

i have another thing on needles, a peach and forest wrister, but the forest didn't photo well, so will try tomorrow
