November Finish

I finally finished these. Started Oct. 1 and finished Nov. 23. These are a Ram Club selection from earlier this year. The yarn is Verve from the Unique Sheep, in colors Summer Solstice and Winter Solstice. The pattern is Alp Hikers by Charles Voth.

I knit the size Small in width and XL in length. There were 300 yds of each color, and I have about 50 yds of the lighter color left.

Progress updates.
I now have one red sock finished. It's the SKA November Mystery Sock by Lisa Stichweh. The yarn is Handmaiden Casbah.

The other sock is one of my designs. The cable resembles chain link fence. The yarn is Plymouth happy Feet Dye for Me, dyed by my local yarn store Susan Yarns.

It's Socktober here

Nothing on my needles but socks.

TTL Mystery Socks by Kirsten Kapur in Jojoland Melody. So far we have 2 clues. I lengthened the leg by one repeat, as I like a 7" leg. These are likely to be gifts.

Alp Hikers from the Ram Club. They were supposed to be an underappreciated pattern for SKA, but weren't available to the public before July 1. These are for DH. The yarn is from Unique Sheep.

I'm knitting a 3rd pair of socks, but they will be for the Holiday KAL.

July sock progress

My Ravelry SKA Mystery sock has clue #3 finished. The pattern is by Chrissy Gardiner.

I have started another color work sock for SKA. It's Fiesta Feet by Lucy Neatby. I've wanted to knit it for a long time, bought the yarn and used the light colored yarn for something else. I used the navy because it is the same yarn, so the weight is the same as the paintbox color.

My Swiss Cheese scarf is 1/2 done, but no photo. I got lots of comments yesterday at a party. People noticed the holes and wondered what in the world I was knitting.

Cast on - July

This is my version of the Ravelry SKA Mystery Sock by Chrissy Gardiner. The photo was taken on the hood of my car, explaining the reflections.

The light gray main color is Plymouth Yarn Happy Feet. Turquoise is Wildfoote. I'm also using Trekking tweed, Lorna's Laces Shepherd sock, and Dream in Color Starry.
Needles are 2.5 mm.

I'm still knitting away on my orange socks for SKA June, my Dog Days jacket project, and my swiss cheese scarf.

I have started 2 more pairs of socks. The yarn and the pattern are from the Ram Club, a sock club for men. The yarn is Foot Prints from the Unique Sheep. The pattern is called Intersector Socks.

Sock Progress for March

Blue socks for the SKA lace challenge are growing slowly. The lace is on the back of the leg. Stealth knitting interferes with sock progress.

The green Mystery Socks for SKA are also growing. I'm using these as a break for the stealth knitting. Clue #3 comes out on Monday 3/15. I may not have finished Clue #2 on the second leg by then.

mystery sock kal -finale

wow! finished socks already! amazing!

i would love it if you would post the yarn and color you used for your socks...just because we might see something we can't live without and then won't know what it is. LOL!

there will be a special drawing for all those who used crystal palace yarn for their socks...so please make sure to note that in your post.

i've also activated the "love" button so feel free to share some "love" around!

I didn't quite finish in time but these beautiful mystery socks are high priority so they will be finished soon! I love the Dream in Color Smooshy yarn in Beach Fog with the pattern. Adrienne - I hope you will do another Mystery Sock in the future! This was so much fun. I promise to post a picture when I am done.... Thanks for letting me be a part of the fun. Renee'

wow! 10 pairs of socks finished so far! and i LOVE them all. of course, i may be a bit partial here, just saying.

who else is working on these? would love to see at least 20 more pairs posted by the end of the month. (or is that wishful thinking on my part? come on! you can do it!!!!!!) remember, the more pairs finished, the more prizes there will be!

The mystery is solved or finished.

I have finished my mystery socks. I used the fancy heel and toe.
Yarn: CPY Panda Wool
Needles: 2.5mm/#1.5
Color: Ultramarine that I won in Tour de Sox 2008.
Cast on: 8/21/2009
Finished 9/14/2009

Two! Two mystery socks that don't fit! Ah ah ah!

Well I finished my mystery socks! They are too big, but since they are my first pair of socks, I forgive them. I think I will run some elastic through the cuff to help hold them up.

One is being (poorly) blocked on my ghetto hanger blocker, and the other is dry already. I'll probably pull the wet one in to shape more as it dries.

I used Knit Picks palette, and the colorway is "Orange". Real original, I know, but it works! The beads are size 6/0 Dyna-mites, square holed, silver lined, orange rainbow.

More Mystery Socks!
