At the finish line..........

I'll start with my starts. My dil loved this yarn. I won it on the Yarn Crawl (a most wonderful weekend in the spring when 23 yarn shops from south of Seattle to the Canadian border all get on a list. We fiber nuts try to go to everyone). This is a Noro no longer available. My own pattern like you can see I know.
My knitting legacy will be she knitted socks and clogs. Well from my eyes more but family and friends that is what I am know for. I was asked for green clogs so here are the start of them.
These next 2 pair of clogs........If anyone remembers the Shawl I did for a friend that needed a hug. She had given me some yarn and I made the shawl and....now clogs for her and her husband. I used the same yarn Knit Picks Memories...Fly Fishing but on this pair a brown
and this pair a blue for the other strand. I plan on giving these to them tomorrow. I know times are tough in her world right now and I just hope this brings a smile and some warmth to her life.

My dil, wanted some fingerless mitts. I casted on Fetching from Knitty. Made a few of these over time.

Drummmm roll, finished items........... Yes, every year I do take pictures of my knitting with my rather small..(ha ha) Christmas Cactus. This will bloom long after Christmas. Started blooming mid November.

I finally did something just for me...me ....me. I so love these elf slippers. I love wearing them and the jingle bell making noise with every step. They fit just perfect, I was worried as we have a front load washer and I felted them a bit too small and had to stretch them out. They fit like a second skin. The start picture........
I plan on wearing them to the Christmas parties we host at our house if I don't wear them out by wearing them all the time. If you are in the neighborhood stop by.

My next cast-on will be this afternoon. A group of us knitters are making an afghan for the Lakewood Police Guild. This has squares for each police officer that was killed last Sunday. The Police Guild gave info (after calling and telling them what we were doing) for each officer so each officer's square(s) will be special. If this one afghan goes like we hope, then each family will also receive one.

I am so touched to be able to be a part of this, I am watching the mailbox for the package of yarn, needles ready, so I can start. Hope I can get pictures of the final afghan to show.

Another MIL Shawl done

Another Shawl for my MIL. I thought that with the weather we have 2 different weights would be a good idea. I fell for the 198 yds of Heaven shawl. Well this is that pattern, but on a bigger needle and thicker yarn. Yarn is Cascade Yarns. Lana Bambu. Color was lavender but much of that dye came out in the wash, even with setting it with vinegar.

A few starts and a finish

I jumped on the shawl KAL with a few others. Here is mine through clue 2.

My MIL is having shoulder replacement surgery so I planned on making her a few shawls to wear after wards. Above is the start of Traveling Women for her.
This also is for her, it is 198 Yds of Heaven. But, I am using a thicker yarn, so mine will take more and be a bit warmer for MIL.
I did finish and block the Traveling Women. Blocking was interesting due to the curve of the neckline.

Time flies when your knitting......

Wow where to start. Well I get in trouble for not posting so will post some.
Adrienne had more projects than me and as she said that is not right as I usually have more so grab a cuppa your favorite drink.

I agreed to spend the month of October knitting Christmas gifts for someones to give to to their families. Well part of the month so will start with gifts others are giving away.

Start of a scarf. My pattern.
A hat and scarf start. Hat is Tab Hat on Rav. Scarf again my pattern.
Clog progress pictures.

Finished scarves and some clogs. These clogs will be given away unfelted. I love the look on peoples face when they get them and wonder what the heck....

Just a few more of the clogs I have done. All but 2 pair are going to far away places for presents.

The felted purse all deco'ed out ready for a little girl to take shopping. Shown in 2 pictures I know but it is cute.

Hanna's clogs. These are gone so I can not show a felted picture. But going to a 2 year old. Dang cute I think. Yarn was from her Grandma's stash.
I test knitted some socks that I can not show yet. So I did the Adrienne photo opt for them.
Don't ya just think they are soooo pretty. Notice the fancy..oh sorry guess I will have to post these later to show the cuffs.
OH just 2 of the shawl starts I did.

Oh and I did finish them. Top one is Dream in Color Baby. This baby is big.
Noro silk Garden. Shawl was made from yarn a friend gave me. But, I thought this friend needed a hug so I made a shawl from the yarn and gave it back to her.

I also finished a test knit shawl I started a while ago. I may not have put up a progress picture. (progress pictures take away from knitting time lol) First shawl I have made using Zephyr.

And then.........Drum roll.....................
Adrienne's mystery socks done "MY WAY". I had problems with my bead holes. I like them. Adrienne is still shaking her head about them.
