52 Week Challange - Debbie (Grandma 07)

I am using my mini mochi prize yarn to knit a ten stitch blanket for my new grandbaby (due around Thanksgiving). This pattern was a bit tricky to get going, but it is now pretty mindless knitting. A nice change from all the chart reading and keeping careful track of rows I've been doing lately. This photo shows the blanket with almost one ball of yarn knit...love watching the color changes!

Gorgeous! Interesting pattern which shows that yarn to advantage. I have never seen it worked like that and am intrigued to try it some day. Just what I needed, another "to do" project on my list! LOL

Thanks everyone :) Once again, this is a hard to put down project because I want to see what will happen next with the colors. Peacockmom...just to tempt you a bit more, this pattern can also be worked in a square. :)

I'm already tempted! How do you do it? Is there a pattern or did you invent it? I've got to get some of this yarn in this colorway. It is peacock neck blue. :)

I found the pattern on Ravelry. If you look up "ten stitch" under patterns you will find this pattern and the square one :) The designers name is Frankie Brown. I found the start of the blanket a bit tricky because I've never done much wrapping and twisting, but her directions are very well written. I just did everything slowly one step at a time. Now the knitting is super easy...I can even work on it when my 2 year old grandson is playing at my feet :) It's a really fun knit!
