"welcome" prize drawing

all who join the kal by midnight, october 1st will be entered into a drawing for some yarn. the actual prize is still being determined but we are leaning towards some panda silk or maybe something else that would be scarf-ish!

here are some ways to increase your chances for winning. get an extra entry for posting about the kal on your blog. leave a comment and link on this post. get another entry if someone mentions that you sent them over here to play. i am all about brownie points.

so, go talk up the kal and win some yarn!

do we have any brilliant "button-makers" here? would be fun to put one on our blogs

I agree, a button would be cool! Alas, I don't have a clue how to make one...

Hopefully there is a talented person in this group that can create one for us! It would be much appreciated!!

This sounds like it's going to be another fun KAL just like OlympicSox!

Just got back from convention teaching knitting. I got my yarn from Tour de Sox. I've had great fun so far.

Panda Silk! WOW! I have been dying to make a shawl with Panda Silk since I saw a sample at Purlescence (LYS in Sunnyvale, CA). It seemed to work really well for a shawl and was so soft!

I guess I'd better go spread the word at my blog so I can snag another contest entry, huh? ;)

Yay for the welcome drawing and meeting new folks! I'm in yarn heaven right now (well, Madison, WI, which at a population of 500,000+ has WAY more yarn shops than my hometown of 6,000 people!) and tomorrow I'm going to have some serious yarn shopping to do!

Hi, I am Katie. I am 7 and in third grade. My Mama sent me.

I am going to make a blanket for Fluffy (my webkins) and a scarf for Sly (the snake.)

My mama will help me count the yarn.

I'm really excited to be here! I'm hoping the KAL will help keep me on track with my holiday knitting. I wanted to do a vest for my dad last year but got a little off track and never even cast on. With that being said, I think I need to go pull out the pattern and the yarn and get swatching so I can start come the 1st. Now if I could only remember where I put the pattern and yarn.

Thanks for the invite Adrienne! I'll be posting about the KAL on my blog at http://kerryknitsinslny.blogspot.com/ before the end of the weekend. :-)
